More than an impeccable design and creating "wow" moments for our clients and guests, we pride ourselves on being experts in delivering true hospitality. We're sharing four elements that we believe share the art of hospitality at your celebration.

Intentional Touch Points Before Arrival

Do not underestimate the importance of a well-designed and user-friendly wedding website and creative details in your save-the-dates and invitation suite. Your wedding website and save-the-dates/invitation suite are the first impression of your wedding celebration, and these elements also provide important logistical information to your guests. While the priority is to communicate details clearly, we also guide our clients through thoughtful design to set the right tone as guests start to plan their trip around your wedding celebration.

Climate Control

No matter how beautiful the design, offering guests premium wines/liquors, or hiring an amazing dance band to serenade your guests, we cannot stress enough that ensuring guests are comfortable (not too warm or too cold) is priority. When we venue scout, we consider the historic climate in each location and suggest our clients to choose the time of year accordingly.

If choosing an outdoor venue, it's important to think through heat, chillier weather, and possibility of rain/storming with solutions for all. For heat, offering guests fans or parasols at ceremony while also providing shade at cocktail hour before the sun sets for dinner makes a noticeable difference. For chillier weather, displaying throws and blankets throughout the space with patio heaters on standby is helpful to accommodate guests as the evening temperatures drop. For the possibility of rain/storm, we suggest clients set aside a tent contingency budget for unexpected problem solving, or fully understand the rain contingency plan offered by the venue.

Restroom Details

We think this is the most overlooked but easiest way to create hospitality! No matter where you choose to host your wedding, there is always an opportunity to add intentionality to the bathroom experience. This can look like providing elevated hand soaps and lotions, freshly scented diffusers, linen quality paper towels, and a toiletries tray filled with items like mouthwash, bobby pins, safety pins, mints, Advil, Tide To Go pens, Alka Seltzer, etc. We can almost guarantee 100% of your guests will notice the attention to detail.

Thoughtful Paper Goods

Creative signage and interactive elements throughout your wedding day make guests feel seen and appreciated. For example, custom cocktail napkins with thoughtfully curated cocktails that are meaningful to you help make guests feel connected to your love story. Personalized notes on cocktail reception food stations or dinner menus which share why you chose these dishes to share with your guests is another thoughtful touchpoint. Lastly, expressing gratitude for your guests' efforts in attending your wedding, perhaps on the seating chart or guest book, is sweet and intentional.

The truth is: to deliver true hospitality, it is to ensure that every guest, whether it is a dinner party for 12 or reception for 200, feel taken care of, seen, and allowed to rest, knowing someone else has meticulously thought through their experience and details. The art of hospitality is about meeting a need or desire before the request can even be formulated into words.

Xo,

Michelle
